Financial Transparency

Payment and insurance, without surprises.

Your exact out-of-pocket cost depends on your insurance deductible, copay structure, and clinical examination findings. We believe you should always know the estimated cost before care begins.

Blue Cross Blue Shield, Auto & Regional Payers

The office verifies benefits before your appointment to reduce billing surprises:

  1. 01
Provide card details over the phone: Call the office with your policy and group ID. Never email policy numbers over public web forms.
  2. 02
We verify deductibles & copays: We confirm your in-network/out-of-network status and remaining annual deductible.
  3. 03
Clear copay expectation at check-in: You know your expected share before Dr. Palmer begins your examination.

The Honest Standard: Benefit verification is a courtesy estimate, not an absolute guarantee of payment from your insurer. Final claims are adjudicated post-service.

Federal No Surprises Act Protection

If you do not have insurance or prefer not to bill insurance, you have a federal right to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) in writing:

  • Itemized Charges: Includes initial exam and any proposed adjustments clearly broken down.
  • Provided Before Care: Delivered in writing before your scheduled appointment time.
  • Federal Dispute Right: If your bill is $400+ higher than the GFE, you can dispute it federally.
Request a written GFE when scheduling: Call (517) 750-7790
