Why this list exists
A parent should never feel awkward questioning a clinician about their child. Good offices welcome it. Bring this list, and expect direct answers.
About the visit
- Can I stay with my child the entire time? (Here: yes, always.)
- Will you explain and demonstrate each step before doing it?
- What exactly are you examining, and what are you looking for?
About technique and force
- How is the technique different for a child this age?
- How much force is involved — can you show me on my hand first?
- What options exist if my child is scared or won’t hold still?
About scope and boundaries
- What can chiropractic care realistically help with for my child?
- What will you not treat, and when would you send us to our pediatrician?
- What signs after a visit should make me call you or our doctor?
About paperwork
- Who signs consent for a minor, and what does it cover?
- Where is my child’s health information stored, and who can see it?
Intake and consent for minors are completed through the office’s secure clinical process — never through a public website form.
