The short answer
A first visit is mostly conversation and examination. You talk through what brought you in, Dr. Palmer examines the areas involved, and then he explains what he found and what he recommends. An adjustment on the first day is possible but never promised.
Step by step
- Arrival and check-in. Park in the lot at 833 Laurence Ave., come in through the Suite B entrance, and check in with the office. Practical questions can be handled before Dr. Palmer begins the consultation.
- Conversation. You describe what you are feeling in your own words — when it started, what makes it better or worse, and what you want to get back to doing.
- Examination. Movement, posture, strength, and the specific joints and muscles involved. Everything is explained before it happens.
- Findings and recommendations. Dr. Palmer tells you what the exam showed, what it did not show, and what he recommends — including when the right recommendation is a referral to another kind of care.
- Next steps. If care makes sense and you agree, you will know what the plan is, how it will be checked, and what it costs before anything begins.
What will not happen
- No treatment before you understand and agree to it.
- No promise of an adjustment, X-ray, or diagnosis before the exam.
- No pressure to commit to a long prepaid plan on day one.
